New Patient Center
We welcome the opportunity to help your pet feel better, recover faster and walk better. To do so, we first need a referral from your pet's veterinarian or veterinary surgeon which will include your pet's history, vaccine records, radiographs, and a diagnosis. These referral forms are conveniently located on our Home Page using the tab marked "Referring Veterinarians." Once this form is completed by the veterinarian and received, we will contact you to set up an appointment for an Initial Evaluation. During this appointment, our Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner will assess your pet's condition and develop a rehabilitation plan for you to follow at home, as well as, one for us to provide in the rehab center. After the Initial Evaluation, we will contact the referring veterinarian and will make recommendations based on our findings. We will continue to keep your veterinarian apprised of your pet's progress.
At Wilmington Animal Fitness & Rehabilitation Center, we work by appointment because we feel it is important for owners to be involved in their pet's care. However, we offer daily drop-off service at no additional charge if work or other commitments prevent owners from attending their pet's rehab session. We are committed to providing you and your pet with the best possible rehabilitation experience. With two Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioners on staff, you can be sure your pet is visually and/or physically evaluated at each session to ensure treatments are targeted to the well-being of your pet.
